Summer Time Style – Going to the Beach

Hello everyone! I am back with another post in which I provide you ideas for outfits, this time inspired by summer and all it has to offer.

I know I am probably late with this blog post, given that we are one month into the summer, but perhaps some of you have just finished school, exams, etc. so maybe this didn’t come too late. Besides, there are still two whole months ahead of us, so there will be plenty of time to enjoy.

Given that I live 20 minutes away from the sea, going to the beach has become a common activity these days, which is why I wanted to share with you one of the outfits I created for this occasion. This is a very simple look – a maxi dress, a beach hat and my bathing suit – with minimal make-up (I just used a bit of powder to keep me from shining like a disco ball). However, when put together, it looks like I really dressed up for the occasion (even though I seriously just put on whatever I found first in my wardrobe and I came up with this). Pair them up with some sandals and this is what it looks like.

11701531_990305094337460_1335502567_oA few details about my outfit:

  • Maxi dress from XSIDE – LC Waikiki (bought 2 or 3 years ago – still loving this dress)
  • Beach hat from Koton
  • Bathing suit from H&M
  • Sandals from Leonardo (bought last year – holding up pretty nicely)

11664953_990718397629463_1384844673_oI bought the beach bag many years ago from a local shop in Mamaia resort and I have been using it ever since, and my sun glasses were purchased from Escada (though they were bought by my sister and luckily passed on to me)

I will leave a gallery of all the pictures we took (we really got carried away on this one). Hope you find some inspiration from this outfit and that you’ve enjoyed my blog post! I will talk to you all very soon!

Lots of kisses,

Nico

  1. Love a maxi dress in the summer and they work really well in India where Im living as they cover so much up! I just wish I could find a hat that I liked as I know I need the protection from the sun but Im just so not a hat person. Yours looked so cute.

    • Thank you so much! I’ve noticed that this summer, there are so maaany hats that you could chose from. Never had a hat before this one 😀 And it really does protect me from the sun quite well. Glad you enjoyed it!

  2. Looks beautiful where you live! I still haven’t been able to find a maxi dress I can pull off! I don’t know if it is because of my height (5’3″) or if I’m just not looking in the right places.

  3. Super cute! Definitely has a relaxed and beachy feel. Now I want to go to the beach. I also need a summer hat of some kind. I think I have a big head which makes hat shopping a pain. I only own “trucker” or “baseball” type hats. Thanks for the inspiration. -Misty

    • I am so glad you enjoyed it! I also have a big head, which is why I’ve always refrained from buying / wearing hats. However, I managed to find this one, which really suits me, and now I can’t stop wearing it! Glad you could find some inspiration from my posts! ❤

  4. Adorbs! Loving that dress! I’m jealous of the water too – we’re in Vegas and it is JUST. SO. DRY. right now!

  5. Your dress is gorgeous! I’m so jealous you live that close to the beach! I promised myself I would go to the beach more this summer, but I haven’t been a single time yet. We do have a vacation planned next weekend, so it won’t be much longer!
