Hello everyone! Haven’t done a makeup-related post in such a long time that I thought that the best way to start was with my everyday makeup look.
Whenever I do my makeup, and there is no special occasion requiring a super smokey, glittery eye look, I focus more on the base, making sure that my foundation looks as flawless as it is possible.
Side note before I begin: Here is my makeup goodie bag from Pupa Milano. Don’t really like that it’s in white and it can easily get dirty, but it’s very spacious and travel friendly.
When I know I will be out and about all day, I usually opt for a matte foundation, that will last me a long(er) time, and in this case, I chose the LÓreal Infallible Matte, in the shade 11 Vanilla, which I blended out with a beauty sponge from Jumbo (super cheap and very good quality). For concealer, I used the Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Cover Concealer in the shade 010 Porcelain and the Rimmel Stay Matte Log Lasting Pressed Powder in the shade 001 Transparent. As for my eyebrows, I finished up my little duo from Rimmel, so I used a brown eye shadow instead (in my opinion, there are hardly any differences in the way my eyebrows looked).
For the rest of my face:
- Bronzer: Pupa Milano Blush and Bronze shade 001; I like to contour and bronze my face with this so I have a bit more structure and my face doesn’t look too one dimensional;
- Blush and Highlight from the Sephora Wonderful Stars Palette, which btw, I am extremely happy with.
For my eyes, I generally go the very simple route. In the crease and outer corner of my eye, I blend two shades of browns: the lighter one will be higher in the crease, used to facilitate the blending process for the second color, the darker brown, which will go in the lower portion of the crease and in the outer corner. For the rest of the lid, I went for a matte vanilla shade, which will brighten up my eyes. In the inner corner, I cheated a bit, and put a shimmery gold, which will give more life and dimension to the entire look.
On the bottom eye lashes, I blend out the two browns I have used on the lid. Few words on the Sephora Wonderful Stars Palette: I love it, the eyeshadows are pigmented, don’t have any fallout, the blushes are beautiful (my favorite is the middle one that I used today) and the highlight is also stunning (not too shimmery, definitely gives the “glow from withing” effect). I highly recommend you this palette.
Mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational. Here is a side by side comparison:
As for the lips, I went for a nude liquid lipstick, the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in the shade 50 Nude Thrill. Not quite as matte, more like a moussey consistency that dries down to a more velvet look rather than matte, but pigmented and comfortable on the lips as well. You’ll see in the photos that I was planning on using a lip gloss as well, but decided against it in the end.
So here is how my everyday makeup look turned out:
