Red Ash – Changing Your Hair Color

As we are mid-way through the season, I thought a change would be welcomed; so what better way to do something different than changing the color of your hair. 😀

Now, before you say anything, yeah, I know the change is not really out there and completely different from what I am used to; but a rather subtle, darker and warmer color than the one before. I feel that these little changes make me feel different, and yet stay the same and true to myself.

Well, the purpose of this post is not to go on about making a change and so on (even though I do believe that sometimes they are beneficial), but just to share with you whatever I learned in all the years since I started dyeing my hair.

Having done this for almost 4 years, I have come to use a multitude of brands, but it is this one in particular that gave me the desired results:

  1. The color is intense and comes off exactly as it is in the catalog
  2. The color persists in your hair for a couple of months. The blonde especially sticks very well. However, for me, is very difficult to maintain a red. It fades quite quickly. I am going to keep you posted on how it goes from now on.
  3. It doesn’t dry my hair; after dyeing it, my hair is silky, smooth and shiny
  4. It allows me to have 3-3 months and a half in between

I am very happy with the result I got. The color is intense, a little auburn and perfect for this time of the year. However, I have a question for those of you who are used to dyeing your hair: how do you keep the red, auburn color from fading away quickly. I would love to go red head, but unfortunately, it doesn’t last as long as I would like it.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this brand: I’ve toyed with it for over 2 years now, and I am happy every time I use it. What about you? Have you used it before? Were satisfied with the results?
